Dating back to the 18th century, The Stables Bar was originally home to one of Perth’s first horse stables. In 1894, local businessman Jonathon Butterworth purchased the site and began construction of his landmark residence and stables. A farm and hardware store were added in 1898. In 2012, the historic building was transformed into The Stables Bar, seamlessly blending its rich past with a fresh modern attitude.
Situated at the end of a small Hay Street laneway, The Stables Bar features two levels of bar and dining experiences, including a sophisticated outdoor bar with a panoramic view of the city skyline.
Enter the cobblestone courtyard and you are immediately transported away from the bustle of Central Perth into a landscaped oasis, the perfect environment for socialising.
With a commitment to innovative food and seasonal produce, The Stables Bar is a refreshing take on modern Australian dining. Head chef Ben Keal sources seasonal, organic and free-range produce wherever possible and creates honest, hearty food designed to be shared.
As well as finely crafted cocktails and excellent wine, The Stables Bar offers all day dining options, including lunch, dinner and all-day grazing menu.
Located in the heart of the CBD, The Stables Bar is the perfect venue for your next event.
Big or small, private or corporate, we pride ourselves on tailoring functions to your specific needs.
